I am Mary Lucas and I am thrilled to be returning to CollegeFashionista as a Style Guru this summer! Summertime, while hot and sticky and sometimes just a little bit unbearable, is also the perfect time to spot some great fashion around New York. Well, anytime is a great time to spot fabulous style in New York. This is a city that eats, sleeps and breathes fashion. I know I certainly do. As a now senior (ah!) at Parsons the New School for Design, I am surrounded by more fashion and more style than I know what to do with, and I can’t wait to share it all with you!
At Parsons and in New York City, there are stylish students everywhere even during the summer. Students flock to the Big Apple during the summer for internships bringing diverse points of view and new styles with them. That is something that is always excited to see and share! Due to the heat here in NYC, there are usually some very creative outfits and some that are just downright inappropriate. I’ll try to steer clear of those, while still bringing you all some awesome fashion. Stay tuned!
